Security Testing
Scanit specialises in IT security testing. We offer:- A penetration test is a simulation of a hacker attack on the company. The goal of the testers is to penetrate as deeply as possible into the company network and gain access to confidential data. We recommend performing a penetration test when there is a need to demonstrate to the upper management that IT security requires more attention, support and budget.
- Network security assessments. A network security assessment is designed to provide a detailed picture of the level of security of the customer's network. The goal is to find the maximum number of security weaknesses in the systems connected to the network. Each identified vulnerability is manually verified and its impact is assessed in the context of the customer's setup. Security assessments can be performed from the Internet - to measure the exposure to an external attacker - or from the internal network - to assess the exposure to malicious insiders. A security assessment can have a scope ranging from the whole customer's network to a handful of systems set up for a particular project.
- Web application security testing. Web applications can be tested from an outsider or authorised user perspective. We also offer source code reviews, which is the most cost-effective way of finding security bugs in applications.
- Specialized tests include WiFi, PBX and dial-up, VoIP, RAS and VPN tests.
- Configuration reviews. A configuration review provides an in-depth analysis of systems' security. We recommend tperforming a configuration review on newly implemented systems.
